Calcipotriol is a form of vitamin D used on the skin. It slows down the fast growth of skin cells in psoriasis.

Uses of Dervit 30gm ointment

Dervit 30gm ointment is used for:

  • Plaque psoriasis
  • Scalp psoriasis, in scalp forms

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Dervit 30gm ointment can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Skin irritation, itching or redness
  • Burning where applied

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

For external use only. Do not use it on the face, and wash your hands after use. Do not use more than advised, as too much can raise calcium levels.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Clean and dry the affected skin, then apply a thin layer as your doctor or pharmacist advised. Wash your hands afterwards unless your hands are being treated. For external use only. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
