Overview
Fenac 100mg tablet contains Diclofenac Sodium (100mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 3×10's tablet.
Diclofenac sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID) used where pain comes with swelling and inflammation. It is available as tablets, injection, gel and eye drops.
Uses of Fenac 100mg tablet
Fenac 100mg tablet is used for:
- Arthritis and joint pain
- Back, neck and muscle pain
- Pain and swelling after injury or surgery
- Period pain
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Fenac 100mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Heartburn, indigestion or stomach pain
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Precautions
Take diclofenac with or straight after food to protect the stomach. Long-term or high-dose use raises the risk of stomach ulcers and bleeding, and can affect the kidneys and heart, so it is best used at the lowest dose for the shortest time. Avoid it if you have a history of stomach ulcers, and never combine it with another NSAID.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How to Use
Take Fenac 100mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
