How Meladinine Cream 1:20 30gm works

Lukodermine ointment is used in vitiligo, a condition in which patches of skin lose their colour. Diluted in a cream base, it is applied to the white patches as directed by your doctor to help the skin regain its colour.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

  • Mild redness, itching or stinging where it is applied
  • Dryness or skin irritation, especially on sensitive skin

Precautions

  • Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
  • Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
