Prelox Suspension 50Ml is a cephalosporin antibiotic that fights infection, containing Cefpodoxime. Prelox Suspension 50Ml is mainly prescribed for treating typhoid, urinary, chest, ear and throat bacterial infections. Your doctor may also recommend it for related conditions, but you should use it only for the purpose it was prescribed.
Used correctly, it clears a range of common bacterial infections effectively.
The active ingredient is Cefpodoxime. It stops bacteria from building their protective cell walls. This targeted action is what makes it effective for its approved uses.
Always take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. The right amount depends on your age, condition and response, so never increase, reduce or stop it on your own. If you are unsure, check the leaflet or ask your pharmacist.
Like all medicines, it may cause side effects in some people, such as diarrhoea, nausea, stomach upset or mild rash. These are often mild and settle on their own, but seek medical advice if any are severe or persistent.
