Proscar 5mg tablet is a round, blue-colored, film-coated tablet, with “MSD 72” embossed on one side and “PROSCAR” on the other side. Each tablet contains 5mg of Finasteride as the active ingredient.

Uses: Proscar 5mg tablet is primarily used to treat BPH, a condition that causes the prostate gland to enlarge, leading to urinary problems such as difficulty urinating, weak urine flow, and frequent urination. Finasteride works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that is responsible for prostate enlargement.
