Aquasin 40mg tablet contains Furosemide (40mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 1×100's tablet.

Furosemide is a strong water tablet (loop diuretic). It makes the kidneys remove extra salt and water.

Uses of Aquasin 40mg tablet

Aquasin 40mg tablet is used for:

  • Fluid retention (swelling) from heart, liver or kidney problems
  • Fluid on the lungs
  • High blood pressure

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Aquasin 40mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Passing urine more often
  • Dizziness
  • Low potassium or sodium
  • Dehydration or thirst

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.

Precautions

Your doctor will check your salts with blood tests. Tell your doctor if you have gout, diabetes or problems passing urine. Watch for dizziness, cramps or extreme thirst, which can mean too much fluid has been lost.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Take Aquasin 40mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
