Uses of Duride 40mg / 5mg tablet

Duride 40mg / 5mg tablet is used for:

  • Fluid retention (swelling) from heart, liver or kidney problems
  • Fluid build-up where potassium needs to be kept up

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Duride 40mg / 5mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Passing urine more often
  • Dizziness
  • Thirst or dry mouth
  • Changes in blood salts

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.

Precautions

Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes unless your doctor advises them. Your doctor will check your kidney function and blood salts. Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, gout or diabetes.
