Like all medicines, Cartex 16mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

Stand up slowly when you first start or increase the dose. Your doctor may check kidney function and potassium from time to time. Candesartan must not be taken during pregnancy – tell your doctor straight away if you become pregnant or plan to.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Take Cartex 16mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
