Deact Injectionection 500mg contains Cefoperazone And Sulbactam (500mg). It comes as a injection.
Cefoperazone is a cephalosporin antibiotic, and sulbactam is added to block the enzyme some bacteria use to destroy it. Together they cover a wider range of organisms than cefoperazone alone. The combination is given by injection, usually in hospital.

Side Effects
Like all medicines, Deact Injectionection 500mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Loose motions
- Pain at the injection site
- Skin rash
- Temporary changes in liver or blood test results
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Precautions
Mention any earlier reaction to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics before the first dose. Alcohol should be avoided during treatment and for a few days after, as cefoperazone can cause flushing and vomiting with it. The full course is completed even after the fever settles, otherwise resistant bacteria are left behind.
