How Derm Gel 60gm works

Clobetasol is a strong corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching. Diluting it with a base makes a milder preparation for longer or wider use, as directed by your doctor.

White soft paraffin is an emollient that forms a protective layer on the skin and stops it losing water.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

• Burning or stinging when first applied
• Thinning of the skin with prolonged use

Precautions

• This contains a strong steroid. Do not use it on the face or on large areas, or for longer than your doctor advises.
• Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
• Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
