Uses of Derm Gel 100gm

Derm Gel 100gm is used for inflammatory skin conditions. Use it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended.

Ingredients

Clobetasol ointment 60gm diluted with white soft paraffin 60gm (1:1 steroid dilution).

How Derm Gel 100gm works

Clobetasol is a strong corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching. Diluting it with a base makes a milder preparation for longer or wider use, as directed by your doctor.

White soft paraffin is an emollient that forms a protective layer on the skin and stops it losing water.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

  • Burning or stinging when first applied
  • Thinning of the skin with prolonged use

Precautions

  • This contains a strong steroid. Do not use it on the face or on large areas, or for longer than your doctor advises.
  • Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
  • Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
