Dipof 3/25mg Capsule

Dipof 3/25mg Capsule is a combination medication containing two active ingredients: Olanzapine & Fluoxetine. It is prescribed for the treatment of certain mental health conditions, particularly those involving mood disturbances.

Components:

• Olanzapine: Belongs to the class of medications known as atypical antipsychotics. It works by altering the activity of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly dopamine and serotonin, which are involved in mood regulation.
• Fluoxetine: Is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), commonly used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and certain anxiety disorders. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain, thereby improving mood and reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Uses:

Dipof 3/25mg Capsule is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Bipolar disorder: A mood disorder characterized by episodes of depression and mania or hypomania.
• Treatment-resistant depression: Depression that does not respond adequately to standard antidepressant medications.
• Treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
• Combination therapy for patients who have not responded to monotherapy with either Olanzapine or Fluoxetine alone.

Administration:

Take the capsule orally with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider. Follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, and dry mouth. Serious side effects may include changes in blood sugar levels, increased cholesterol levels, and neurological effects. Report any unusual or severe side effects to your healthcare provider.

Precautions:

• Inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing medical conditions, especially cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
• Disclose all medications, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, as well as any herbal supplements, to avoid potential interactions.

When Not to Use:

Dipof 3/25mg Capsule may not be suitable for use in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Olanzapine, Fluoxetine, or any components of the capsule. It is not recommended for use in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing them.
