Doxagit 4mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Doxazosin Mesylate, which belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It is used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition characterized by an enlarged prostate gland.

Indications:

• Hypertension: Doxagit 4mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of hypertension to help lower blood pressure.
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): It is also used to improve urinary symptoms associated with BPH, such as difficulty urinating, weak urine flow, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended starting dose of Doxagit 4mg Tablet for hypertension is usually 1mg once daily, which may be increased gradually up to a maximum dose of 16mg daily if necessary.
• For the management of BPH, the usual starting dose is 1mg once daily, which may be increased gradually to a maximum dose of 8mg once daily.
• Doxagit 4mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, usually in the evening to minimize the risk of dizziness and fainting associated with the first dose.

Precautions:

• Before taking Doxagit 4mg Tablet, inform your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have, especially if you have liver or kidney disease.
