How FU Cream 15gm works

Fluorouracil is an anti-cancer medicine (antimetabolite) that slows the growth of abnormal skin cells when applied to the skin. It should be used only as prescribed.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

  • Redness, soreness, crusting or peeling of the treated skin

Precautions

  • Use only as prescribed. Do not use it if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
  • Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
  • Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
