Pantoprazole is meant for a defined course rather than indefinite daily use without review. Long-term use can lower magnesium and vitamin B12. See a doctor if heartburn keeps returning after a course, or if you notice weight loss, difficulty swallowing or black stools.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Take Gastasid tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
