Glitos Plus 15mg/850mg tablet is a combination medicine that contains Pioglitazone and Metformin. It comes as a tablet.
This medicine combines 2 diabetes medicines that work in different ways. Metformin lowers the amount of sugar the liver releases and helps the body use insulin; Pioglitazone is a glitazone that helps the body respond better to its own insulin.

Glitos Plus 15mg/850mg tablet is used for:

Side Effects
Like all medicines, Glitos Plus 15mg/850mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Nausea, diarrhoea or stomach upset, mostly at the start
- Metallic taste
- Weight gain
- Swelling of the ankles
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.
Precautions
Your kidney function will be checked. It may need to be stopped for a short time before surgery or scans that use contrast dye. Avoid heavy drinking. It is not suitable for people with heart failure. Tell your doctor about sudden weight gain, breathlessness or swelling. Tell your doctor if you have or have had bladder cancer, or notice blood in your urine.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How to Use
Take Glitos Plus 15mg/850mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
