Havrix 720 Junine Injection

Havrix 720 Junine Injection is a vaccine used to prevent infection with the Hepatitis A Vaccine. It contains inactivated hepatitis A virus antigen, which stimulates the body’s immune system to produce antibodies against the virus, providing protection against hepatitis A infection.

Indications:

Havrix 720 Junior Injection is indicated for:

• Prevention of hepatitis A infection in children aged 1 year and above.
• Vaccination against hepatitis A virus in individuals at risk of exposure to the virus, such as travelers to areas with high hepatitis A prevalence, individuals with chronic liver disease, men who have sex with men, and others at risk of infection.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended dose of Havrix 720 Junior Injection for children aged 1 to 15 years is 0.5 ml administered intramuscularly.
• For children aged 1 to 15 years, the vaccine is usually administered as two separate doses, with the second dose given 6 to 12 months after the first dose.
• The vaccine may be given as a single dose for children aged 16 years and above.

Precautions:

• Inform your healthcare provider if the person receiving the vaccine has a history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the vaccine, including neomycin or any other ingredient.
• Vaccination should be postponed in individuals with moderate to severe acute illness until they have recovered.
• Use caution in individuals with bleeding disorders, as intramuscular injection may cause bleeding or hematoma formation.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of Havrix 720 Junior Injection may include:

• Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site
• Fever
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Nausea

Less common side effects may include:

• Allergic reactions, including rash, itching, or hives
• Muscle or joint pain
• Swollen glands

Storage:

• Store Havrix 720 Junior Injection in the refrigerator at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
• Protect the vaccine from light.
• Do not use the vaccine if it has been frozen or if the expiration date has passed.
