Uses

Leflotec 250mg Tablet is primarily prescribed for the treatment of the following bacterial infections:

  • Respiratory Tract Infections: Including community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and sinusitis.
  • Urinary Tract Infections: Such as uncomplicated cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Including cellulitis, abscesses, and wound infections.
  • Sexually Transmitted Infections: Such as gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Mechanism of Action

Levofloxacin inhibits the bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which are involved in the supercoiling of bacterial DNA and the separation of replicated DNA strands. By interfering with these processes, levofloxacin prevents bacterial DNA synthesis and ultimately leads to bacterial cell death.

Administration

Take Leflotec 250mg Tablet orally, with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider. Follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment.

Side Effects
