Lophos Tablets . is a phosphate binder used in kidney disease, containing Calcium Acetate. It is available as a tablet for convenient use.

Lophos Tablets . is prescribed for controlling high phosphate levels in people with chronic kidney disease. Use it only as advised by your doctor.
Used correctly, it lowers blood phosphate and protects bones and blood vessels.
The active ingredient is Calcium Acetate. It binds phosphate from food in the gut so less is absorbed.
Take exactly the dose your doctor prescribes. Do not change or stop it without medical advice.
Possible Side Effects include nausea, constipation or diarrhoea. Tell your doctor if any are severe or persistent.
Take with meals; tell your doctor about other medicines and calcium levels. Also tell your doctor about your allergies and other medicines.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from sunlight and moisture, and out of children’s reach.
