Your doctor may prescribe Mogadon 5mg tablet for:

  • Short-term insomnia

Side Effects of Mogadon 5mg tablet

Not everyone gets side effects. Those reported include:

  • Drowsiness or hangover effect the next day
  • Dizziness or unsteadiness
  • Confusion, especially in older people
  • Poor concentration or memory
  • Muscle weakness

Get medical help straight away for signs of a serious reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing or a severe rash.

Before You Use Mogadon 5mg tablet

  • It is a controlled medicine and can cause dependence; use it only for the shortest time and do not stop suddenly after regular use, as withdrawal symptoms and rebound insomnia can occur.
  • Do not drink alcohol, and do not drive or operate machinery the next day if you still feel drowsy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have breathing problems, sleep apnoea, liver or kidney disease, myasthenia gravis, depression, or a history of drug or alcohol misuse.
  • Taking it with opioid painkillers or other sedating medicines can dangerously slow breathing.
  • Older people are more prone to falls and confusion, and it is not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C in the original pack. Do not use after the expiry date, and keep all medicines away from children.
