Monobenzone Cream 15gm is used for vitiligo. Use it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended.

How Monobenzone Cream 15gm works
Monobenzone is a depigmenting agent. It permanently reduces the activity of the pigment-producing cells (melanocytes), so it is used in widespread vitiligo to lighten the remaining pigmented skin and even out colour. It should only be used under a doctor's supervision.
Possible side effects
Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:
- Permanent loss of skin colour, which may also appear on areas that were not treated
- Redness, itching or irritation
Precautions
- Use only under a doctor's supervision, as the loss of skin colour can be permanent. Avoid contact between treated skin and other people.
- Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
- Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
