Nodep 5mg Tablets contains Escitalopram (5mg). It comes as a tablet.
Escitalopram is an antidepressant from the SSRI group. It works gradually, so the full benefit builds up over several weeks.
Uses of Nodep 5mg Tablets
Nodep 5mg Tablets is used for:

- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Panic attacks
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Nodep 5mg Tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Nausea, especially in the first days
- Headache and drowsiness
- Difficulty sleeping
- Reduced appetite
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Precautions
Do not stop escitalopram suddenly, even when you feel better – the dose is lowered slowly under a doctor’s guidance to avoid withdrawal effects. It may take three to four weeks before you notice a real change, so keep taking it. Tell your doctor if you feel unusually low or restless in the early weeks, and never combine it with another antidepressant without advice.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How to Use
Take Nodep 5mg Tablets exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
