Overview

Panadol Ultra Tablets is a combination medicine that contains Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. It comes as a tablet.

This painkiller combines paracetamol with ibuprofen, an anti-inflammatory painkiller. The two work in different ways, so together they relieve pain better than either alone.

Uses of Panadol Ultra Tablets

Panadol Ultra Tablets is used for:

  • Headache, toothache and period pain
  • Muscle, back and joint pain
  • Fever and aches with colds and flu

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Panadol Ultra Tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Indigestion or stomach upset
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.

Precautions

Take it with or after food. Do not take it with other medicines that contain paracetamol or other anti-inflammatory painkillers. Avoid it if you have a stomach ulcer, bleeding problems, severe heart, liver or kidney disease, or asthma made worse by anti-inflammatories, and avoid it in late pregnancy.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Take Panadol Ultra Tablets exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
