Parlodel 2.5mg tablet contains Bromocriptine (2.5mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 3×10's tablet.
Bromocriptine acts like dopamine in the body. That does two things: it switches off prolactin release from the pituitary gland, and it helps replace the dopamine signal lost in Parkinson disease.

Like all medicines, Parlodel 2.5mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away.
Taking it with food and at bedtime greatly reduces nausea and dizziness at the beginning. Get up slowly for the first weeks. Report severe headache, visual disturbance, chest pain or persistent vomiting. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while on it, and mention any history of heart valve or lung problems before starting.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you take, any allergies, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Take Parlodel 2.5mg tablet exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
These medicines also contain Bromocriptine, but in a different strength or pack. Do not switch to a different strength without asking your doctor.
