RhyTab 7.5mg Tablet is primarily used for the following purposes:

  1. Chronic Stable Angina: It is indicated to reduce the risk of hospitalization for worsening heart failure in patients with stable, symptomatic chronic heart failure.
  2. Heart Failure: To reduce the risk of hospitalization for worsening heart failure in patients with stable, symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.

Mechanism of Action

Ivabradine works by specifically inhibiting the I(f) current in the SA node of the heart, leading to a reduction in the heart rate without affecting other cardiac parameters.

Dosage and Administration

The dosage of RhyTab 7.5mg is determined by the treating healthcare provider based on the patient’s medical condition. It is usually taken orally with meals.

Precautions

  1. Bradycardia: RhyTab may cause bradycardia (slow heart rate), and caution is advised in patients with pre-existing bradycardia.
  2. Atrial Fibrillation: It is not recommended for use in patients with atrial fibrillation.
  3. Liver Impairment: Adjustments in dosage may be necessary in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment.

Side Effects
