SOLOSIN SR 0.4MG CAPSULE

Solosin SR 0.4mg capsule contains Tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker used to relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck. It is used to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH).

Uses:

1. Enlarged Prostate (BPH): Solosin SR eases symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, a weak stream, and frequent or urgent urination.
2. Improved Urine Flow: By relaxing the muscle around the urethra, it helps the bladder empty more completely and reduces night-time bathroom trips.

Side Effects: Solosin SR is generally well tolerated. Common side effects include dizziness, light-headedness on standing, headache, a stuffy nose, and changes in ejaculation.

When Not to Use:

1. Hypersensitivity: Do not use if you are allergic to Tamsulosin.
2. Fainting on Standing: Avoid if you have a history of severe low blood pressure or fainting on standing.
3. Planned Cataract Surgery: Tell your eye surgeon before use, as it can affect the procedure.

Take Solosin SR after the same meal each day and swallow the capsule whole. Inform your doctor of other medicines you take, especially for blood pressure or erectile dysfunction. If you feel dizzy, sit or lie down until it passes.
