Tempol -C 15mg/500mg/15mg tablet is a combination medicine that contains Codeine, Paracetamol and Caffeine. It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 10 x 10s tablet.

This painkiller combines paracetamol, codeine (a mild opioid) and caffeine for pain that paracetamol alone does not relieve.

Uses of Tempol -C 15mg/500mg/15mg tablet

Tempol -C 15mg/500mg/15mg tablet is used for:

  • Short-term moderate pain, such as headache, toothache or muscle pain

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Tempol -C 15mg/500mg/15mg tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:

  • Constipation
  • Drowsiness or restlessness
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness

Tell your doctor if a side effect is severe or does not go away, and get urgent help for signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, wheezing or a widespread rash.

Precautions

Codeine can cause dependence, so it is meant for short-term use only. It is not given to children under 12 or to breastfeeding mothers. Avoid alcohol and other sedatives, limit caffeine drinks, and do not take other paracetamol products at the same time.
