Tiocardis AM 40/10mg Tablet is a combination medication containing two active ingredients: amlodipine and valsartan. Amlodipine belongs to a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers and is used to lower high blood pressure. Valsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers and is also used to lower high blood pressure. Together, these two medications help to relax the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the workload on the heart. Tiocardis AM 40/10mg Tablet is usually taken once a day, with or without food.
Tiocardis AM 40/10mg Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (such as heart attack, stroke, and death) in patients who have hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy (thickening of the muscle in the left chamber of the heart).

Some patients may also develop an allergic reaction to Tiocardis AM 40/10mg Tablet, which may include rash, hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention.
