Vorif 200mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Voriconazole, which belongs to a class of medications known as triazole antifungal agents. It is used to treat certain fungal infections such as invasive aspergillosis, candidemia, esophageal candidiasis, and other serious fungal infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Uses:

1. Invasive Aspergillosis: Vorif 200mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis, a fungal infection caused by Aspergillus species.
2. Candidemia: It may be used to treat candidemia, a bloodstream infection caused by Candida species.
3. Esophageal Candidiasis: Vorif 200mg Tablet is also prescribed for the treatment of esophageal candidiasis, an infection of the esophagus caused by Candida species.
4. Other Serious Fungal Infections: It may be used to treat other serious fungal infections caused by susceptible organisms, as determined by the healthcare provider.

Mechanism of Action:

Voriconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This disrupts the integrity and function of the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death and inhibition of fungal growth.

Dosage and Administration:

• The dosage of Vorif 200mg Tablet and the duration of treatment depend on the type and severity of the fungal infection, as well as the patient’s response to therapy.
