ZESTRIL 5MG 28S

Zestril 5mg tablet contains Lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor. It is used to lower high blood pressure and to support the heart.

Uses:

1. High Blood Pressure: Zestril relaxes blood vessels to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke and heart problems.
2. Heart and Kidney Protection: It is also used in heart failure, after a heart attack, and to protect the kidneys in people with diabetes.

Side Effects: Common side effects include a dry cough, dizziness, headache, or tiredness. Rarely, swelling of the lips or face can occur and needs urgent medical care.

When Not to Use:

1. Pregnancy: Do not use during pregnancy.
2. History of Angioedema: Avoid if you have had swelling of the face or throat with ACE inhibitors.
3. Hypersensitivity: Avoid if you are allergic to ACE inhibitors.

Take Zestril at the same time each day and rise slowly to avoid dizziness. Avoid salt substitutes that are high in potassium. Regular blood pressure and kidney checks are recommended.
