Amclav 375 Tablets is mainly prescribed for treating chest, ear, throat, urinary, dental and skin bacterial infections. Your doctor may also recommend it for related conditions, but you should use it only for the purpose it was prescribed.
Used correctly, it reliably clears many common bacterial infections.
The active ingredient is Co-Amoxiclav. It combines amoxicillin with clavulanic acid to kill bacteria and block their resistance. This targeted action is what makes it effective for its approved uses.
Always take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. The right amount depends on your age, condition and response, so never increase, reduce or stop it on your own. If you are unsure, check the leaflet or ask your pharmacist.
Like all medicines, it may cause side effects in some people, such as diarrhoea, nausea or mild rash in some people. These are often mild and settle on their own, but seek medical advice if any are severe or persistent.
Do not use if allergic to penicillin; complete the full course. Tell your doctor about your full medical history, allergies and any other medicines or supplements you take. Generally considered usable in pregnancy when prescribed.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Always keep it out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date.
