Artecxin 15mg/90mg suspension is a combination medicine that contains Artemether and Lumefantrine. It comes as a suspension. The pack contains 30ml suspension.
Artemether and lumefantrine are two antimalarial medicines that kill malaria parasites in the blood. Artemether acts very quickly, and lumefantrine clears the parasites that remain.

Artecxin 15mg/90mg suspension is used for:
- Uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum
- Mixed malaria infections that include falciparum
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Artecxin 15mg/90mg suspension can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common ones include:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea or vomiting
- Joint or muscle pain

Precautions
It is used to treat malaria, not to prevent it. Taking it with food or a milky drink helps the body absorb it. Tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm problems or take other medicines that affect the heart rhythm. If you vomit soon after a dose, ask your doctor what to do. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, especially in the first three months.
