Empaxo 10mg Tablet is a medication containing the active ingredient Empagliflozin. It belongs to the class of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and is prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to control blood sugar levels.

Uses

Empaxo 10mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting SGLT2, a protein responsible for the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys. By reducing glucose reabsorption, Empagliflozin increases the excretion of glucose in the urine, leading to lower blood sugar levels.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, increased urination, and genital yeast infections. Dehydration and low blood pressure may occur. Serious side effects are rare but may include ketoacidosis. Report any unusual or severe side effects to your healthcare provider.

Precautions

  • Inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing medical conditions, especially kidney problems or a history of urinary tract infections.

When Not to Use
