About this product

Overview

Floxol 200mg tablet contains Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is used to treat a range of bacterial infections.

Uses

  1. Bacterial Infections: Floxol treats infections of the urinary tract, chest, skin, and other areas caused by susceptible bacteria.
  2. Broad Activity: It works against many types of bacteria when other antibiotics are unsuitable.

Side Effects

Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, headache, or dizziness. Rarely, it can affect tendons.

When Not to Use

  1. Tendon Problems: Tell your doctor of any tendon pain and avoid heavy exercise during treatment.
  2. Pregnancy and Children: Generally avoided in pregnancy and growing children.
  3. Hypersensitivity: Avoid if allergic to quinolone antibiotics.

Complete the full course and drink plenty of water. Avoid taking it at the same time as antacids, iron, or calcium, which reduce its absorption.
