Overview
ORS Hydraden Lemon contains Oral Rehydration Salts, a balanced mix of glucose and essential salts. It is used to prevent and treat dehydration.
Uses
- Dehydration from Diarrhoea and Vomiting: ORS Hydraden Lemon replaces the water and salts lost during diarrhoea, vomiting, or fever.
- Fluid Replacement: It helps restore energy and electrolyte balance in children and adults, with a pleasant lemon flavour.
Side Effects
Very safe when prepared correctly. Taking too much or preparing it too strong can occasionally cause vomiting or a high salt level.
When Not to Use
- Severe Dehydration or No Urine Output: Seek medical care, as a drip may be needed.
- Intestinal Blockage: Do not use if there is a bowel obstruction.
Dissolve one sachet in the stated amount of clean drinking water and use within 24 hours. Keep giving fluids in small, frequent sips. See a doctor if diarrhoea is severe or persists.
