Overview
Moxider 400mg tablet contains Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is used to treat a range of bacterial infections.
Uses
- Bacterial Infections: Moxider treats chest, sinus, skin, and other infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
- Respiratory Infections: It is often used for pneumonia and sinus and bronchial infections.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, or headache. Rarely, it can affect tendons or heart rhythm.
When Not to Use
- Tendon Problems: Tell your doctor of any tendon pain and avoid heavy exercise during treatment.
- Heart Rhythm Problems: Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm condition.
- Hypersensitivity: Avoid if allergic to quinolone antibiotics.
Complete the full course and drink plenty of water. Avoid taking it at the same time as antacids, iron, or calcium, which reduce its absorption.
