Overview

Pantaz 20mg tablet contains Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid the stomach makes.

Uses

  1. Acidity and Heartburn: Pantaz relieves acid reflux, heartburn, and sour burps, including in GERD.
  2. Ulcers and Acid Damage: It helps heal and prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers and protects the stomach when taking certain painkillers.

Side Effects

Common side effects include headache, diarrhoea, nausea, or stomach pain. Long-term use can affect magnesium or vitamin B12 levels.

When Not to Use

  1. Hypersensitivity: Avoid if you are allergic to proton pump inhibitors.
  2. Severe Liver Disease: Use with caution and medical advice.

Take Pantaz before a meal, usually in the morning. For long courses, use the lowest effective dose. See a doctor if symptoms continue despite treatment.
