Toujeo Solostar Insulin is prescribed for controlling blood sugar in type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Use it only as advised by your doctor.
Used correctly, it reliably lowers blood sugar and prevents diabetic complications.
The active ingredient is Insulin Glargine. It replaces or supplements the body’s insulin to move sugar into cells. This targeted action is what makes it effective for its approved uses.
Always take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. The right amount depends on your age, condition and response, so never increase, reduce or stop it on your own. If you are unsure, check the leaflet or ask your pharmacist.
Like all medicines, it may cause side effects in some people, such as low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), weight gain or injection-site reactions. These are often mild and settle on their own, but seek medical advice if any are severe or persistent.
Learn correct injection technique and how to treat low blood sugar; store correctly. Tell your doctor about your full medical history, allergies and any other medicines or supplements you take. Insulin is the preferred treatment for diabetes in pregnancy under medical care.
