Zilos 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Losartan Potassium. It belongs to a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). Losartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to narrow, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering blood pressure.

Description

Zilos 50mg Tablet is a film-coated tablet available in a round shape and pale yellow color.

Uses

Zilos 50mg Tablet is primarily prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and to protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes (diabetic nephropathy) in patients with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Zilos 50mg Tablet may include:

  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Back pain
  • Increased blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia)

Precautions

Before taking Zilos 50mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you:
