GLEMPA M 12.5/500 MG 14S

Glempa M 12.5/500mg tablet contains two active ingredients, Empagliflozin and Metformin. It is used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Uses:

1. Type 2 Diabetes Control: Glempa M lowers blood glucose when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
2. Dual Action: Metformin reduces glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, while empagliflozin removes excess sugar through the urine and may support weight and heart health.

Side Effects: Common side effects include urinary or genital infections, increased urination, nausea, and diarrhoea. A metallic taste can occur with metformin, and low blood sugar is possible when combined with other diabetes medicines.

When Not to Use:

1. Severe Kidney Impairment: Do not use if your kidney function is significantly reduced.
2. Type 1 Diabetes or Ketoacidosis: It is not suitable for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
3. Hypersensitivity: Avoid if you are allergic to either ingredient.

Take Glempa M with food as prescribed, stay well hydrated, and monitor your blood sugar. Tell your doctor before any surgery or if you become unwell, dehydrated, or develop an infection.
