DIAJARD MXR 5/1000MG

Diajard MXR 5/1000mg tablet contains Empagliflozin (5mg) and Metformin (1000mg). It is used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Uses:

1. Type 2 Diabetes Control: It lowers blood glucose when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
2. Dual Action: Metformin reduces glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, while empagliflozin removes excess sugar through the urine.

Side Effects: Common side effects include urinary or genital infections, increased urination, nausea, diarrhoea, or a metallic taste. Low blood sugar is possible with other diabetes medicines.

When Not to Use:

1. Severe Kidney Impairment: Do not use if kidney function is significantly reduced.
2. Type 1 Diabetes or Ketoacidosis: Not suitable for these conditions.
3. Hypersensitivity: Avoid if allergic to either ingredient.

Take with food as prescribed, stay well hydrated, and monitor blood sugar. Tell your doctor before surgery or if you become unwell or dehydrated.
