Telmisartan: Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure and to protect the heart. Hydrochlorothiazide: Hydrochlorothiazide is a water tablet (diuretic) that helps the body remove extra salt and fluid, which lowers blood pressure.

Before You Use Cresar H 40/12.5mg Tablets

  • Take it regularly, even when you feel well, and get up slowly at first if it makes you dizzy.
  • Your doctor may check your kidney function and levels of potassium, sodium, uric acid and blood sugar, as the diuretic can change them.
  • Tell your doctor if you have gout, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, or an allergy to sulfonamide medicines, and check before taking lithium or NSAID painkillers.
  • Hydrochlorothiazide can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight, so use sun protection and report any new or changing skin patches.
  • It must not be used during pregnancy and is not recommended while breastfeeding.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C in the original pack. Do not use after the expiry date, and keep all medicines away from children.
