Side Effects of Piozer Plus 15/500mg Tablets

Most people tolerate it well, but some may notice:

  • Nausea, diarrhoea or stomach upset
  • Weight gain
  • Swelling of the ankles
  • Metallic taste
  • Headache

Before You Use Piozer Plus 15/500mg Tablets

  • It must not be used by people who have or have had heart failure, or by those with a history of bladder cancer.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, and let the hospital know you take it before surgery or an X-ray scan with contrast dye, as metformin may need to be paused.
  • Avoid drinking a lot of alcohol, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis.
  • Women taking pioglitazone have a higher risk of bone fractures, and the combination is not used in pregnancy, breastfeeding or type 1 diabetes.
  • Take it with meals and keep up regular blood sugar checks and eye examinations.

Keep the tablets or capsules in the original strip or bottle, below 30°C and away from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
