Bepsar Tablets 50mg contains Losartan (50mg). It comes as a tablet. The pack contains 20 tablets in a pack.
Losartan blocks the receptor for angiotensin II, the hormone that tightens blood vessels. The arteries relax, blood pressure falls, and the pressure inside the kidney filters drops too, which is why it is favoured in diabetes.

It must not be used in pregnancy, and women planning a pregnancy should discuss switching. Kidney function and potassium are checked with blood tests after starting and periodically. Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes unless approved. Unlike ACE inhibitors it rarely causes a dry cough, which is why many people are switched to it.

Take Bepsar Tablets 50mg exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not change the dose or stop taking it on your own. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as directed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
