Uses of Lovir Eye Ointment 4.5gm

Lovir Eye Ointment 4.5gm is used for:

  • Herpes simplex infection of the eye (herpes keratitis)

Side Effects

Common side effects of Lovir Eye Ointment 4.5gm include:

  • Mild stinging after use
  • Temporary blurred vision

See your doctor urgently if your vision gets worse or the eye becomes more painful.

Precautions

  • Keep using it for the full time your doctor advises.
  • Do not share eye medicines with anyone.
  • Do not let the tip of the bottle touch the eye or any other surface, to keep it clean.
  • If you use more than one eye medicine, wait at least 5 minutes between them.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines you use, any allergies, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to Use

Wash your hands first. Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid and put the number of drops your doctor advised into the eye, then close the eye for a minute. Use it exactly as you were told. Read the leaflet inside the pack before you start.

Storage

Store as directed on the pack, away from heat and direct sunlight. Throw the bottle away after the time printed on the label once it is opened. Keep out of the reach of children.
